An exaggerated text-based emoticon featuring an extremely wide smile, used to convey either genuine overwhelming happiness or thinly-veiled sarcastic innocence when you're clearly guilty of something. The length of the underscore indicates the intensity of either your joy or your obvious lying. It's the digital equivalent of a kid with cookie crumbs on their face insisting they didn't raid the cookie jar.
