Definition

A socially acceptable window (7 days before/after your actual birthday) to demand celebratory treats and gifts without appearing demanding or unhinged. It's basically a legal license to ask your friends to spoil you.

Example Usage

My birthday is next week, so I'm invoking my birthday treat rights and we're going to that expensive restaurant whether you like it or not.
