49 cent

Intermediate 📱 Gen-Z / Internet Slang

Definition

A humorous insult for someone who claims to be wealthy or successful but is clearly broke and struggling financially. It's the polar opposite of bragging rights—you're so poor you couldn't even make it to 50 cents.

Example Usage

He rolled up in a beat-up car talking about his riches, but we all knew he was more 49 cent than baller.
